They say the family that plays together stays together. Well, the same can be said for volunteering. SAGE is very fortunate to have families who volunteer for us. One such couple is Fred and Ruth Roessle. They have been supporting SAGE for 27 years! When Fred and Ruth retired, they began volunteering with SAGE. Ruth gave of her time by delivering Meals on Wheels and helping with our participants in Spend-A-Day. Fred joined our Board of Trustees, later went on to serve as Board President, and as Finance Committee Chairman of the New Horizon’s New Building Task Force was instrumental to the building of our location at 290 Broad Street in Summit. SAGE is forever grateful to Fred and Ruth for all their years of support and dedication. Today, they reside in Maplewood and enjoy spending time with their family, including their 10 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.
