January 2011
Issue 6 - January 14
Greetings!

Please join us for our first French wine dinner of 2011. We will be sampling Rhne Valley wines that are always consistently good and delicious.

In fact, this year one in particular received special accolades from Rober Parker:
"The 2007 Ctes du Rhne has finally been released, and Guigalhas made his finest Ctes du Rhne to date, all from purchased juice. He and his son told me they go through thousands of samples in order to come up with this cuvee, which is based on 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, and 10% Mourvedre, all aged in tank. A deep ruby/purple wine with lots of cassis, kirsch, pepper,
and even an intriguing floral note, the wine is medium to fullbodied, silky smooth, and a truly delicious, hedonistic and intellectually satisfying wine that is a remarkable bargain. It should drink well for 2-4 years, as these wines can actually last...the best he
has ever made." ~ RP, Wine Advocate # 191, October 2010.

How can you go wrong with a review of the wines like that? The menu looks delicious and it will be a delightful and informative evening with Stephanie Ferrier.

We hope to see you then!

Barbara Hay
