Dear Neighbors, 

The City of Buda is hosting an in-person Open House for the Talley Loop Rehabilitation and RM 967 projects!

Join us to learn more about the preliminary plans for each project and share your feedback with the City of Buda. All of the information shared at the open house will also be available on the virtual open house webpage at BudaBonds.com for those who are unable to attend the in-person meeting.

The comment period will be open from Dec. 4 to Dec. 14, 2023. Comments can be submitted during the in-person open house, through the website at BudaBonds.com, by email at budabonds@budatx.gov, or by mail to Attn: Communications Department, City of Buda, 405 E. Loop Street, Buda, TX 78610. The City of Buda encourages you to participate and share your input on the proposed improvements. 

As part of the voter-approved 2021 Buda Bonds Program, the City of Buda is planning improvements for Talley Loop and RM 967. Read more about the projects below:

TALLEY LOOP REHABILITATION

The City of Buda is planning to rehabilitate the Talley Loop pavement from Cullen Boulevard north to where the road bends west towards Garlic Creek Drive. Improvements include full-depth pavement milling and replacement to address pavement failures. 

RM 967 PROJECTS

RM 967 Acceleration/Deceleration Lanes. Deceleration lanes are planned at two RM 967 intersections: Garlic Creek Drive/Grove Lane and Garlic Creek Drive/Remuda Trail. The goal is to improve safety and traffic operations by separating right-turn traffic.

RM 967 Right Turn Lane onto FM 1626. A new right-turn lane is planned on west-bound RM 967 from Canyon Wren Drive to FM 1626. This project will address traffic flow issues on RM 967 at FM 1626 by accommodating westbound traffic.
