March with us on July 4!

On Friday morning, July 4th, the 91 ^st annual Hollyhock Lane parade will move out at 8:30 am sharp—and we will be there, as we have been since 2010. Please march with us, or support us by cheering us on from the curb. Kids and dogs are welcome! You can push a stroller or be pushed in a wheelchair. We will begin gathering at 8 a.m. on the northeast corner of Calvin and Alexander in Ottawa Hills. (GPS, 1335 Alexander.) Wear as much white as you can and dress up with our “Votes for Women” signs, pennants, hats, and sashes. Grab a sign and have a wonderful start to the holiday weekend!

Our annual Hollyhock march spurs us to keep up our efforts to preserve and share women’s history and, in particular, suffrage history. But the parade is also for spectacle!
