Invitation to our 293d Annual Parish Meeting
Beloved Ones, we invite you to stay with us after worship on Sunday, January 26th. It’s
plenty cold outside … but we will find abundant warmth, comfort and joy in our Glover
Community Hall!
Join us for an amazing meal, and help us celebrate our many ministries. We have a
couple of fun surprises for you, celebrating our many children and families.
We will hear a few brief updates on current Trinity Church projects, and we will elect our
leadership for 2025. We do a bit of business - in a context of fellowship and feasting!
We are grateful for all the written reports submitted by our leaders – please read the
Annual Report.
Peace be with you,
Rev. Andrea Castner Wyatt
The Nursery will have extended hours this day, and will be open until 12:30.

Dorothy Day Coat drive
There will be a collection box by the glass doors in back for winter coats, gloves and socks to bring to Dorothy Day next Month on February 18.
The Trinity hot meal team is assigned to the third Tuesday of each month.
In January, we served 175 hot meals of chili, rice, corn bread and cole slaw in 18 degree weather. In addition, sandwich meals, coats, gloves and socks were given out, These come from generous donations made by supporters of the Dorothy Day mission. There are usually a minimum of 150+ hot and cold meals given to the guests who stop by the hand-out window to receive their meals. Many of these people have families, places to live and jobs. Sometimes, that isn’t enough.
Trinity is proud to be able to participate and give back with hot and cold meals and coats, gloves, hats and socks!

I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises. Hebrews 2:12
As I was sitting down to write my contribution to the Annual Report, I looked back at my previous writings of 2023 and 2022. I smiled as I read 2022’s Music Ministry update, when I had just been with you at Trinity for a few months. We were still getting to know each other, and I was thrilled to be diving into Trinity’s musical traditions as well as gently experimenting with some new ideas. And while it’s only been two and a half years since God so graciously called me to minister here, it feels like I’ve been a part of this beautiful family for much, much longer.
You can read the full Music Ministry update in the Annual Report as it comes out this week, and the gist of it is that this year in the Music Ministry at Trinity has been both productive and joyful. Our choir continues to grow in musical, spiritual, and personal unity, with rehearsals filled with laughter and camaraderie. I’m excited for our continued growth together. Everyone is thrilled with the addition of our Organ Scholar from Trinity College, Elijah Morris, and his presence and talent beyond his years have been a valuable addition. We brought back Evensong to a full sanctuary, “Handel Messiah Sunday” was a true bright spot, and who remembers an actual band with guitars and drums on Easter morning? It has been a year of exciting growth! I have appreciated all of your feedback and have loved our conversations about music, hymns, new ideas and revisiting old traditions.
This Sunday, I hope you will attend the Annual Meeting after worship. Of course, the food is always a major draw, and you will have the opportunity to hear all about what Trinity has been up to this year and all the good that you have done. What you really don’t want to miss is our Church School kids singing a special song for the blessing and dedication of their new play space, the Trinity Kids Klub! That newly reimagined and repurposed space previously held the choir robes for the Choristers, which- if you are newer here- was a large choir program for youth. How amazing to take a space that was previously for a youth music ministry that sunsetted years ago and allow it to evolve to create a much-needed resource for a growing children’s program and the needs of our families with kids. It’s a testament to the living, breathing, and growing life of our church; a church that honors traditions and yet continues to move forward and stay relevant.
How else will we, with God’s help and guidance, grow and evolve this year? I am looking forward to continued exploration in music and hope that some of you music lovers who have been lurking might just say that this is the year to jump in and see how your talents can be used for the glory of God.
Here’s to another beautiful and blessed year at Trinity!
