Count the Omer with Us

The counting of the omer serves as a link between Passover (liberation) and Shavout (the giving of the Torah.)  We start counting during the Second Seder and continue for 49 nights until the evening before Shavuot.

Last year, we started a new tradition of gathering on Zoom to count together each evening (except Fridays).  We gathered for 10 minutes to hear a song, a poem or reflection, say the blessing and count the day. No prep needed, no driving to Middle Street...you can even wear your PJs!  Once again, COVID created new opportunities for connecting!

Last year was a huge success. Approximately 65 people joined for at least one night and we averaged about a dozen each evening.  It built community and connections as people visited each evening.

Here are the details:

Monday 3/29 - Saturday 4/17 at 8:15 PM

Sunday 4/18 - Saturday 5/15 at 8:45 PM (later because sunsets are later!)

No Meetings Friday evenings
