SCORE! NYSTIA Tourism Champions Booth Display Visits Gillette Stadium in Boston

Touchdown! Your NYS Tourism Champions booth and the AAA Northeast Travel Marketplace chalked up a win on February 8 at Gillette Stadium. Your NYSTIA exhibit booth was a popular stop with travel fans and with attendees. During the first few hours of the event travel intenders visiting the booth selected over 2,000 travel guides! Good thing we came prepared!

Erie Canal Artists-in-Residence

Discover the rich history and lasting impact of the Erie Canal at At Water’s Edge: Reflections on 200 Years of the Erie Canal, now open at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse. This exhibition, presented by the Canal Corporation, Erie Canal Museum, and Everson Museum, showcases works by the 2024 Erie Canal Artists-in-Residence who have captured the canal’s essence and ongoing relevance in celebration of its Bicentennial. The 2025 Artists-in-Residence will explore the canal’s ecological and community connections through their art. Don’t miss the chance to hear directly from these talented artists at upcoming events, including a Virtual Artists Conversation on February 12 and a Gallery Talk & Artist Reception on February 15.

Communications Specialist, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

Under the overall direction of the Director of Outdoor Recreation, this position will provide strategic communications, outreach, and project support to the Office of Outdoor Recreation. The Communications Specialist will work with DEC’s Division of Communication, Education, and Engagement, natural resources divisions, and other divisions, offices, and regions within DEC as well as with partner agencies to advance communications and engagement strategies and facilitate effective internal and external communications.

Director of Partner Relations, Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance

The Director of Partner Relations is responsible for retaining, increasing and servicing FLTA’s partnership base. This position is responsible for all partnership development activities, including, but not limited to: recruitment, retention, partner database management, and partner event planning and execution. This is a full-time non-exempt position based on a work schedule of 40 hours per week.
