A comedy by Don Zolidis
Directed by Marina Kalani
When the aging king of a Magical Kingdom (England) decides to split his empire between his three daughters, Cinderella, Belle, and the Snow Queen (who in no way resembles a copyrighted character), terrible tragedy ensues. Terrible, hilarious tragedy. Combining the gut-wrenching plot twists of Game of Thrones and the soul-numbing despair of Shakespearean tragedy, this adaptation of King Lear will leave you dying with laughter as the body count mounts.

Healing Art Committee at Enloe Health Regional Cancer Center
Volunteer Artist Liaison Opportunity
Do you have a passion for the healing power of art? The Healing Art Committee at Enloe Health Regional Cancer Center is seeking a volunteer Artist Liaison. This is a heartwarming and fun position that involves reaching out to north state artists who might want to show their work at the Healing Art Gallery. The volunteer solicits interest from prospective artists, establishes their relationship to cancer (patient, survivor, caregiver, or other type of healing artist), coordinates committee review of the work (usually by email), and works with the artist to complete necessary paperwork. The committee meets 1-2 times a year. Personal cancer experience is a plus, but not required. Past artist liaisons express a great deal of satisfaction working with artists and helping to bring art into the healthcare setting. Curious? Check out the online gallery at www.enloe.org/art, or contact Rebecca at rebecca.senoglu@enloe.org.

Chico ART Festival - Call for Artists
The Chico Visual Arts Alliance is proud to announce that our 2024 Chico ART Festival will be held on Mother’s Day Weekend, Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, 2024, outdoors on the beautiful grounds of St John’s Episcopal Church on Floral Avenue in Chico. This will be our 11th annual art festival. Our two-day, one-stop Art Expo has four goals: to showcase our local artists, to promote Chico as an arts destination center, to educate the public about the variety and value of art in our community, and to throw a really great Chico-style party.
What’s new for this year’s application process: The booth fees are tiered, with the lowest priced tier ending February 29. The payment of the booth fee is now required in full, simplifying the process for everyone. Lastly, in 2022, the weather was a bit chilly, in 2023 a bit hot, this year, we are looking for the weather to be “just right” in the Goldilocks zone.
Interested in exhibiting with us? Our application process is officially open. For more info and to apply, go to the Artist Portal HERE !
Interested in attending the Chico ART Festival? Save the dates, mark your calendar, and see you Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, 2024!

We want to add AS MANY events as possible. The hope is that having all events in one location will help with multiple things…
1. It will help vendors find all the information necessary to apply with ease.
2. It will allow coordinators to see what other events are planned for weekends they’re thinking of hosting.
3. It will allow us (Divine Sundays & Lunar Market) to make comprehensive calendars at the beginning of each month to inform our community of all the wonderful events happening in Chico!
