Join me Saturday for Thanksgiving Dinner

Preparations are currently being made for The 30th Annual Congressman Troy Carter Friends & Family “Drive-Thru” Thanksgiving Dinner. This auspicious event is being held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Alice Harte Charter School at 5300 Berkley Drive in Algiers from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

This event aims to provide a complete holiday meal for those who might spend the holidays alone or be food insecure.

The event is free to the public, and food will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Over the past twenty-nine years, I have hosted this community event while I was in the Louisiana State House of Representatives, the Councilmember of District C, a private citizen, and now as United States Representative for Louisiana’s Second Congressional District.

This Thanksgiving Dinner has been a much looked forward to occasion where senior citizens and families alike can come and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with no questions asked. The only requirement is that you come hungry!

Over the years, more than 10,000 citizens have been served.
