I would like to remind you that tomorrow is the kickoff of the Kid Cinema Fest's Year-Round Children, Teens and Families' Film Series at Alianza Dominicana. The Kid Cinema Fest is a free monthly film series for the children and youth in our community that I have supported since I began at the Council. Please read below for all the details.

 This year's program will offer a lineup of educational, creative, fun and culturally diverse films from around the world for children and families. It will include a range of genres from fiction, animation, documentaries, and short films. The film series aims to demonstrate immense offerings of talent for our kids and young people in the Washington Heights, Inwood and Marble Hill area. 

 
The program is set to start on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM  at Alianza Dominicana Cultural Center located at 530 West 166th Street and Amsterdam with the animated film, Eleanor's Secret (ages 3+) from the Academy Award nominated director, Dominique Monf�ry.

Eleanor's Secret is an inspiring tale of a boy that discovers his newfound ability to read not only sets his imagination wild, but also saves the day!

 
With their monthly program,  Kid Cinema Fest's Year-Round Children, Teens and Families' Film Series at Alianza Dominicana will provide a unique yet informative and artistic opportunity where children, teens and families can improve their fundamental skills in the following: film critic, critical thinking, and literacy. Programmed films will be shown on the last Sunday of every month and they are free for everyone!
