Back to School & New School Zone Ordinance
School started this week, which means school zones are now in effect in the morning before school and in the afternoon when kids are coming home from school. The Municipality of Anchorage passed an ordinance, AO No. 2019-51(S),that prohibits cell phone use while driving through a school zone.
The Muni has also provided a handy fact sheet in case you have any questions.
Last fall, I read "Grace for President" to classes and then donated the book to all the elementary school libraries in our district. I love to read to students, so let me know if you'd like me to come read to your class.
