Seeking participants for BIPOC Coaching Program

Students - Are you looking for an adult mentor to support you through your year of research and provide exposure to STEM opportunities? Do you hope to interact with more STEM leaders?

Teachers - Do you have Black, LatinX, or Indigenous students interested in completing a research project but in need of a mentor?

If the answer is yes, MSEF invites you to join our BIPOC Coaching Program!

Our Program matches high school students identifying as Black, LatinX, and Indigenous with coaches from across industry and academia that identify equally.

Hear from a recent high school graduate who benefited from the coaching experience:

Oge's Story

Benefits for students include:

  • full support during the Science & Engineering Fair process, with the goal of participation in the Regional and/or State Fair,
  • bi-weekly virtual meetings with your coach and regular contact during the program cycle (Oct-Feb),
  • access to MSEF workshops designed to help with project focus and resource orientation, and
  • connection to opportunities promoting BIPOC leadership and inclusivity in STEM.

IMPORTANT:

Students do NOT need to have their project focus selected before joining our program!
