Join our Communications Committee
ICG is reenergizing our Communications Committee which supports ICG in highlighting our values of inclusion, telling stories of impact, and showcasing Garden activities throughout the year in each of our Communication mediums.

What we ask:
  • A 2-hour per month commitment for a minimum of a 1-year term
  • Interest or experience in communications work, and ICG's current communications presence
  • Internet connectivity to participate in remote meetings
  • Familiarity with Google Groups and Slack or willingness to learn
  • Responsiveness for tasks including but not limited to: scheduling upcoming meetings, giving feedback on agendas, providing edits on press releases, photographing events and programs at the Garden, etc

ICG is Ithaca's Best Kids Attraction
For a third year in a row you have voted Ithaca Children's Garden as Best Kids Attraction in the Ithaca Times annual community led Best of Ithaca awards!

We are honored to hold this recognition for yet another year, and are grateful to all of you for nominating and voting for ICG. You are the reason ICG exists, and why our daily work of creating accessible and inclusive child-led greenspace continues. Thank you for helping ICG live its mission of connecting children to nature to create a more beautiful, resilient, and just world.
Take a virtual trip through our Inspiring Environmental Leaders display
What a beautiful video showcasing the Garden and our Inspiring Environmental Leaders exhibit made by our partners over at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Northeast Region!

Working in collaboration with USFWS, The Learning Farm, and the local young people who participated to complete this exhibit was a privilege. There are so many environmental stewards we admire, which environmental leader inspires you?

USFWS also created a fully audio described version of the video above!
Help keep the Garden warm in the cooler seasons
As the colder weather approaches, and we all enjoy the last sunny warmth, the ICG team could use your firewood donations!

Small campfires add SO much warmth, coziness and learning opportunities to our programs.  If you have firewood to donate, even if it is too old for your woodstove, please consider bringing it to the Garden.

All donations will be received by jason@ithacachildrensgarden.org, so reach out to arrange your drop off.
Hold the Date
Ithaca Childbearing Loss Network will hold an informal memorial walk at ICG's Bulb Labyrinth Memorial Garden on Sunday, October 17 at 4 PM.

A rain date of October 24 is also scheduled if inclement weather should occur on the 17th.
ICG in the news
Oswego County Today contributor Sandra Scott traveled over to Tompkins County. In an awesome article showcasing eight fantastic reasons to visit the county, ICG received a mention!
