If you have never been to the CITY OF LIGHT, or wish to return, this is the trip for you! Included are four guided tours and free time to explore the city on your own. See PARIS' grand monuments and an abundant sampling of her splendid museums. Enjoy the architecture, sculpture, parks, and avenues of one of the world’s most beautiful cities. A highlight will be a visit to the newly opened FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON, designed by American architect Frank Gehry. Optional evening events will be arranged to ensure you have the richest possible experience throughout your stay.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 3 – Early evening departure from Philadelphia, or your home city, to PARIS. Dinner and breakfast will be served aboard the airplane. (D, B)
THURSDAY, MAY 4 – Upon arrival, transfer to the K + K HOTEL CAYRE in a wonderful location near the legendary BOULEVARD ST. GERMAIN. We have planned an afternoon walk to introduce you to the area with its fabulous boutiques, brasseries, galleries, and historic sights. An early dinner is included at a local cafe. (B, D)

FRIDAY, MAY 5 - This morning visit the great monuments of Paris: the PLACE DE LA CONCORDE, the stately TUILERIES GARDENS, and the opulent PARIS OPERA HOUSE, designed in the Second Empire style by Charles Garnier. The bustling CHAMPS-ELYSÉES ends at the ARC DE TRIOMPHE which commemorates Napoleon’s victory at the Battle of Austerlitz. Stop at the EIFFEL TOWER, the centerpiece of the 1889 International Exposition, NAPOLEON’S TOMB the magnificent LUXEMBOURG GARDENS in the heart of the Latin Quarter. (B)

SATURDAY, MAY 6 – Tour a beautiful area of Paris, the 16th Arrondissement. Visit the OLD VILLAGE OF PASSY, once a country village outside the city walls; and travel through streets famous for their ART NOUVEAU houses by Hector Guimard, designer of the Paris Metro. Then visit MUSEE MARMOTTON housing a fine collection of paintings by Claude Monet and other impressionists, and the fabulous FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON, a spectacular museum of contemporary art in the BOIS DU BOULOGNE. SUNDAY, MAY 7 – Enjoy a morning walking tour in the charming MARAIS. Stroll around the PLACE DES VOSGES, the city’s oldest square. At the PLACE DE LA BASTILLE, we recall the birthplace of the French Revolution in 1789. In the afternoon, you can visit the PICASSO MUSEUM, which contains the artist’s collection of his works as well as paintings by Matisse, Renoir, Braque, and Rousseau; the newly renovated HOTEL CARNAVALET (Historical Museum of the City of Paris), or the fascinating MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND ART OF JUDAISM. MONDAY, MAY 8 – An optional trip outside of Paris is planned this morning to see the Home and Gardens of Claude Monet in GIVERNY at the peak of springtime bloom. Enjoy lunch on your own in the little town and a visit to MUSÉE DES IMPRESSIONISTES which preserves the legacy of Impressionism in France and around the world. Return to PARIS by mid-afternoon. (B)

TUESDAY, MAY 9 – The last day of our tour is free to explore PARIS on your own. MUSÉE D’ORSAY, Paris’ fabulous showcase for 19th-century art and culture, and the HOTEL DU CLUNY with its fine collection of French Medieval treasures are both open today. We could also help you arrange a visit to VERSAILLES or CHARTRES.
Dinner is included this evening. (B, D)
WEDNESDAY, MAY 10 – Depart PARIS today for home or elsewhere. Additional nights at the K + K HOTEL CAYRE are available upon request. (B)

TOUR COST: The cost for land arrangements is $2990. The additional cost for a single is $795. Costs are based upon a minimum of twelve participants. Save $200 pp if your deposit is received by WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2023.
INCLUDED IN THE LAND PACKAGE: Accommodations for six nights at the K + K Hotel Cayre including full buffet breakfast, tax, and service; one lunch, two dinners; sightseeing tours as listed in the itinerary, including museum admission costs. FINAL PAYMENT for land arrangements is due no later than WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1, 2023. Full refund for land arrangements may be made until MARCH 1, 2023, less your deposit of $1000. Thereafter, all costs are non-refundable unless a replacement is found. Airfares are subject to airline cancellation restrictions. Travel insurance is highly recommended and is available from EXCURSIONS FROM THE SQUARE.
