Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center Seeking New Trustees

If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to contribute to arts and community, please consider joining as a trustee of the Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center

We are eager to share that the Edward Hopper House Museum is looking for dedicated, forward-thinking individuals to fill a currently vacant trustee seat on our Board of Trustees (for next fiscal year April 1, 2027-March 31, 2028).

About Us

Located in the lower Hudson Valley in Nyack (Rockland County), New York, the Museum is housed in the birthplace and childhood home of iconic American artist Edward Hopper. It is currently navigating an exciting period of significant growth.

Having recently expanded its professional staff, the Museum has set ambitious financial and operational goals to better preserve its landmark structure and champion the enduring legacies of both Edward Hopper and his artist wife Josephine Nivison Hopper, as well as the village of Nyack, where his artistic sensibilities emerged.

Our Board of Trustees is a collegial, highly engaged, and visionary group. Whether you are a seasoned board professional or looking to step into your very first trustee role, we are interested in welcoming unique perspectives that can help us reach our goals.

Location, Logistics & Commitment

Because the trustees actively attend most meetings and events in person to support the Museum and its vibrant community, an ideal candidate will be located within the greater New York metropolitan area and/or with reasonable proximity to Nyack, Rockland County,

Trustee appointments typically span three three-year terms, commencing on April 1, the start of our Financial Year.
