Collaborating is hard to do, but it's worth it.

We know from studies and our own lived experiences that working together takes an enormous amount of effort and trust. Our resources, reputations, and success are at stake.

But the payoff of a good collaboration is exponential! Strong partnerships result in cost savings, economies of scale and scope, synergies, and revenue enhancement. Collaboration is good business.

In one month, we will be gathering for a luncheon at Michael's On East to celebrate this phenomenon. We are honoring three of our tenant partners for their commitment to the spirit of collaboration:
And we are honoring our own Community Liaison, Christina Russi, CRS/CRS-DC. Her tireless work to connect organizations and people to resources inspires us daily.

In fact, we are continuously inspired by the work of all of our partners on our Campus of Caring and beyond, who tangle with the challenges of collaboration - because they know it's right for the community.

Let the celebrating begin!

GS Connects - Road Map to Press Success
In January, the campus welcomed Sharon Kunkel, APR, to share her expertise and some success stories in getting the work of local nonprofits noticed. She provided valuable takeaways, including tips and encouragement to create a culture of storytelling at all levels in our organizations.

Campus Connection events are made possible through funding from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
2/11 is National 211 Day
This February 11th, we celebrate National 211 Day, to bring awareness to the important 211 service available in our community.

211 continues to get a high volume of requests for mental health services and support. Call specialists are there for people from the first hello all the way to getting someone help in a critical time.

This 2/11, tell someone you know about 211!
Hodgens Elected Chair of First 1,000 Days Steering Committee
As the First 1,000 Days Suncoast initiative expands its reach beyond the borders of Sarasota into neighboring counties, Glasser/Schoenbaum CEO, Dr. Kameron Hodgens, has been elected to chair the steering committee.

"As a mom who lives in Manatee County and works in Sarasota, I know that county lines mean very little when accessing healthcare for your children," said Hodgens. "I'm proud to be a part of this steering committee as we make this a more regional effort."

Al Purmort Monitor Giveaway
Al Purmort Insurance, the longtime provider for Glasser/Schoenbaum, recently inquired if agencies on the campus could use any of the 14 spare computer monitors they had on hand.

Seven of the 18 agencies on campus responded to the call! All 14 monitors were distributed - an example of the need for updated technology across human service nonprofits.

We are so thankful to Al Purmort for delivering these high-demand items to our doors!
