About the Institute for Public Health Innovation

The Institute for Public Health Innovation (IPHI) focuses on improving health outcomes in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia by funding innovative programs and partnering with local organizations. Fostering collaboration and building trust is critical in creating equitable access to healthcare, housing, and food to improve the health and well-being of under-resourced people. By working alongside local governments, healthcare organizations, and communities, IPHI is improving health policies, access, and outcomes.

The IPHI CHW Academy is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources (HHS) as part of an award totaling $3 million.
