Rodef Shalom
is proud to join the 2019 Pittsburgh Pride Equality March, which takes place from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 9.
The Jewish Community of Pittsburgh marches in spirited solidarity, celebrating B'tzelem Elohim, that all are created in the divine image. Join us in the march as we offer special thanks for the incredible love and support our community has received since the shooting on October 27th, knowing we must stand united against white supremacy. Pittsburgh is home to Queer Jews!
Rodef Shalom is joined by
Repair the World
,
Kesher Pittsburgh
, and
Temple Sinai
.
All members of the Jewish community are encouraged to join us! This is a celebration of Shavuot for some; there are others in the Jewish community who cannot participate due to their observance of Shavuot.
One more opportunity for you to celebrate Pride this year includes:
Joining additional festivities and another march with People's Pride 2k19 - Pride Of The Ages, June 7-9, organized by SisTers PGH, our local black, trans-led and focused housing, shelter, and resource organization. The focus of this Pride event is to: "liberate our LGBTQIA+ community through all intersections with celebration and inclusion that centers our LGBTQIA+ communities of Pittsburgh."
