TESTIMONIALS
" Mrs. Abbady was open, honest, and articulate. We enjoyed having her here with us, and we appreciate the outreach efforts by the Islamic Speakers Bureau and the speakers themselves to use the power of information and personal experience to break down prejudice and misinformation." - Marist School Teacher

Join the ISB Hunger Walk Team!
The ISB is teaming up with other Atlanta Muslim organizations!

Join the ISB team here for the 2016 Hunger Walk on March 13th! Did you know more than one in every four Georgia children lives in a food insecure household?  The ISB would love to help the Atlanta Community Food Bank take the next step in the fight against hunger!

Over 20 metro Atlanta-based Muslim organizations are participating under the banner of the ISB for this year's hunger walk. Last year, the Atlanta Muslim community raised $29,000 making the Muslim community the second largest contributor!
New ISB Speakers Training on March 19th

"Working with the ISB has been a life changing experience for me. It has empowered me with confidence and knowledge about a subject so close to all our hearts."

"The ISB training reinforced my sense of professionalism, in all that I do, tapping into the Muslim ideal of perfecting one's craft. The ISB embodies that. An authenticity that permeates all that we do."

These were the words shared by two certified speakers with the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta.  ISB speakers tell stories of empowerment, acceptance, outreach, professionalism, opportunity, and building relationships that they wouldn't have experienced if it weren't for the ISB.

The ISB offers a New Speaker Training every year to empower community members with skill set, knowledge, and tips that will enhance not only their public speaking experience, but their professional experience at large.  The training for 2016 is scheduled for March 19th from 9am - 2pm at Georgia Institute of Technology.  To reserve your seat, please register using the link here.

ISB Executive Director Soumaya Khalifa Pens Book Review of The Study Quran!

Upon Global Atlanta's invitation, Soumaya Khalifa, Executive Director of the ISB, was invited to write a book review. Khalifa chose to write her review on The Study Quran. Global Atlanta invites a select group of leaders from across the metro Atlanta area to write reviews. In her review,  Soumaya Khalifa, commended the latest English translation of the Islamic holy book.

"With The Study Quran , both scholars and lay readers can explore the spiritual meaning of the Quran, examine the grammar of difficult sections, and explore legal and ritual teachings, ethics, theology, sacred history, and the importance of various passages in Muslim life," Khalifa wrote.

Indeed, the Study Quran is unique in that it represents the "labor of several U.S. scholars over a period of 10 years," Khalifa wrote. It also "accounts for both Sunni and Shiite perspectives when offering critical commentary and translating verses."
