Wilton Interfaith Action Committee's (Wi-ACT’s) Rise Against Hunger meal-packaging event for this year will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21nd at the WEPCO Church Complex, 36 New Canaan Road, Wilton. TBC’s on-line registration site for this event is https://signup.com/go/yvEAHGT
The meal-packaging work is in 90-minute shifts; so just go on the site and choose your shift, beginning at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, or 3 pm. Children as young as 7 can participate! Inter-generational family groups are welcome and very much encouraged.
It is always a joyous and uplifting the experience to package meals to serve hundreds of children in some of the most food-deprived regions of the world. Last year our meals went to Haiti. This year, we hope to package 50% more meals than last year, and if we do, we can feed 300 children for an entire year. (See also Rise Against Hunger's Stories of Impact.) Hope to see you there!
