Our next U4C Area Network Meeting will be on Zoom Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00 AM - 12 Noon.

During this meeting, we will introduce our Area Leadership Collective Members. We will be also spend time talking more about our workgroups and how you want to be involved. 

In September, we had 221 people, including 165 self-advocates attend the 5 area meetings on Zoom!

During these meetings we focused on developing our communication skills and how to be good listeners. We also discussed strengthening the Impact and Engagement workgroup and how to build relationships with elected officials. U4C Leadership Member, Derek Heard, provided graphics to help illustrate ways self-advocates can contact their legislators. We talked about folks writing emails, making phone calls, sending letters, and scheduling in person visits.
