| | Homeostasis Funding Announcement | | Image of the Lombardi Reactor provided by Homeostasis | | Homeostasis has secured $1.2M in pre-seed funding to advance its aqueous mineralization capture technology, which extracts carbon from the air and converts it into graphite. In 2026, the company plans to launch pilot project deployments. Looking ahead, Homeostasis aims to market its technology to industrial emitters. The resulting graphite has the potential to support U.S. supply chain demands for this critical material, which is essential in batteries, nuclear power plants, and other key industries. | | Puget Sound Energy x Modern Hydrogen | |
Puget Sound Energy and Modern Hydrogen begin a strategic partnership to answer joint problems in decarbonization! The Clean Energy Transformation Act requires Washington utilities to meet the ambitious goal of 100% clean energy by 2045. To tackle this challenge Puget Sound is partnering with Modern Hydrogen to decarbonize difficult to abate sectors like municipal transit and industrial manufacturing. Modern Hydrogen's innovative tech decarbonizes at the meter for industrial and commercial greenhouse gas emitters using distributed methane pyrolysis technology. This mutually beneficial partnership allows Modern Hydrogen to quickly scale up their production and benefit from Puget Sound's established natural gas system.

Emissol, a cleantech firm, uses its expertise in Direct Air Capture (DAC) of CO2 to accelerate Africa's first DAC facility, Octavia Carbon‘s Project Hummingbird. Octavia is a subsidiary of Octavia Holding, Wilmington, Delaware.
Emissol has carbon removal technology, expertise and science-based, high-fidelity models that cut the costs of traditionally expensive R&D, engineering and DAC systems, reducing DAC cycle time and substantially downsizing the overall DAC space. Octavia Carbon is now pairing Emissol's expertise with Kenya's geothermal power and unique geology to create a cleaner, more efficient DAC system. In doing so, Octavia Carbon uses Kenya's abundant geothermal energy to power its DAC system and permanently capture and store CO2 in porous basaltic rocks in Kenya's Rift Valley. Octavia Carbon's cofounder and CEO, Martin Freimüller, says, "Working with Emissol has catalyzed our R&D process in maturing and optimizing our contactor-based DAC for deployment in our pilot project. By leveraging their expertise and integrating these advancements with Kenya's geothermal energy resources, we are poised to deploy the world's most cost-effective DAC technology here in Kenya."
Emissol provides its technology, expertise and models to help DAC and environmental companies solve specific engineering challenges in chemical reactions, processes, heat and mass transfer and thermal analysis as well as providing their technology that cuts costs and space in carbon removal. If any of this is of interest to you, Emissol is actively looking for connections and collaborations! Please take a look at Emissol's website and contact Dr. Mansour Masoudi at mansour@emissol.com with questions or comments.
