NAR is offering 2-day interactive courses and the online 'self-paced' course for free here at become.abr.realtor. The interactive courses are filling up fast, but NAR is working to provide options through the end of the year.

How to Earn Your Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) Designation

1) Be a Member of NAR 

To become certified, you must be a member of the National Association of REALTORS® in good standing.

2) Complete the ABR® Designation Course

Complete the two-day ABR® Designation Course online, in-person, or in a live virtual format.

3) Complete an Elective Course

Complete one qualifying elective course online, in-person or in a virtual format. 

4) Finalize Transactions as a Buyer Rep

To qualify as an ABR®, you must have completed five transactions as a buyer's rep in your career. Exceptions apply in certain cases. 

5) Submit Your Application

Once you have fulfilled all of the requirements, submit your application to become an ABR® through our online form.

Your email address is often the first glimpse of your business savvy a potential client gets. A generic Gmail address like “john316@gmail.com” screams amateur hour and may turn off high-end clients. An address with your full name and “real estate” in it reassures clients you’re the real deal.
