Join us for a screening of

The Game Changers!

Celebrate World Heart Day with us!

Join us this Saturday, September 28th at 6:30 PM for a free event you won’t want to miss: a special screening of The Game Changers, followed by a panel discussion with the star of the film, James Wilks, alongside Dr. Aaron Spitz, Dr. Amanda Brown-Tortorici, Hunter Nolan, Jane Velez-Mitchell, and myself.

The event will be held at the historic and beautiful Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach.

About The Game Changers

Executive produced by James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jackie Chan, the film follows James Wilks—elite Special Forces trainer and winner of The Ultimate Fighter—on his journey to uncover the truth about protein and performance. Directed by Oscar-winner Louie Psihoyos, The Game Changers combines groundbreaking science with inspiring stories of top athletes who challenge outdated myths about diet and health.

Featuring athletes like Lewis Hamilton, Novak Djokovic, and Chris Paul, the film reveals the impact of a plant-based diet not only on human performance but also on global health.

Judie's Memoir Highlighting SCIL's History Available Now!

Dear friends,

For those of you who missed the initial announcement, Judie's new book, Because They Need Us: My Political Fight to Save Animals, is available now!

100% of the proceeds from the book will support SCIL. Get your copy, including shipping, with a minimum donation of $30.

Here are a couple of the reviews from some folks you might have heard of!

Ingrid Newkirk, bestselling author and founder and president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) says: “Judie Mancuso is a Joan of Arc for animals, a force that, as you will read, could not be bought for a million dollars. Why are pet shops banned from selling puppy mill pups? Judie is the reason. Woe to any special interest groups that think they can outspend and outsmart Judie. Almost anything to do with animal protection in the state of California is because of her and her devoted team of vigorous animal defenders. Because They Need Us is eye-opening and jaw-dropping, revealing the lobbyists’ games as well as the commitment and determination it takes to defeat them.”

Dr. Neal D. Barnard, author, psychiatrist, and founding president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine says: “Because They Need Us is a brilliantly written blow-by-blow account of the grit and political smarts it takes to defeat huge corporate forces in the name of decency and compassion. This book could be a textbook for anyone who aims to change the world, as Judie Mancuso has masterfully

done."

Because They Need Us will be available online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble, as well as in-stores, by the end of the year. But don't wait! Get yours TODAY directly from us by clicking the link above and making your donation.
