Dear Valued Community Members,
You may recall from our last newsletter that every California city is currently undertaking an update to their respective Housing Element, the section of cities' general plans that addresses where and how much housing to build. We have been engaging the community on this important update.
For the first time, the state is requiring that the Housing Element update also address fair housing. At our next Housing Element Update meeting on December 13, we will be discussing fair housing.
Fair housing refers to policies and actions that prevent discrimination, expand choices, and address racial and economic disparities in housing. It involves increasing investment in underserved communities and fostering inclusive neighborhoods. Come learn about this important topic!
Spanish and Vietnamese language interpretation will be available.
