Honoring the political efforts of Grand Rapids women a century ago, we use their parade model to remind us of their persistence and to advertise the mission of the GGRWHC today.
On Wednesday morning, July 4th,
meet others at 8 a.m. at the
NE corner of Calvin and Alexander SE.
Look for other suffragist marchers with the
"Votes for Women" banner, and the gaudy yellow and purple "Greater Grand Rapids Women's History Council" banner (see photograph below).
The parade starts at 8:30, leaving the rest of the day for your holiday events.
