Dear O'Hara Community,

Greetings from the O'Hara Advancement Office. How is it that we are already in December and Christmas is just around the corner? We have had a busy couple of months in the Advancement Office, not only with our regular events, but with the launch of our capital campaign -  A Proud Legacy. A Vision for the Future.

Similar to the years prior, I continue to be inspired by the level of support provided by our families here at O'Hara. We are truly blessed with a caring and supportive community. Today, Tuesday, December 3, O'Hara is participating in #GivingTuesday

On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you gave from your wallet.
Today, on #GivingTuesday, we are asking for gifts from the heart.

We are asking our community to support O'Hara this  #GivingTuesday by making a pledge to our capital campaign. This year, our greatest need is our building. With the official launch of O'Hara Catholic School's  A Proud Legacy. A Vision for the Future.  Capital Campaign, we are focused on participation. Together, we can go further, faster.
This campaign marks the culmination of years of planning, prayer and hard work to develop a long-range vision for our facilities. Our planning goals are to preserve and update our 70-year-old building, create a 21st-century learning environment, increase student safety, and carry on a special sense of pride in our facilities for generations to come. This is consistent with our commitment to leave this school building in better shape than we inherited it.

Our initial fundraising focus is $3 million. We are thrilled to report that, in November alone, we received more than $100,000 in gifts & pledges.

The  first tier of our master plan vision includes:
  • East wing siding replacement
  • East wing roof replacement
  • Upgrades to main hall restrooms
  • East parking lot improvements
  • Indoor lighting upgrades
  • Heating and cooling system replacement
For this effort to succeed, we need the help of many. We are reaching out to all O'Hara constituents including current and past parents, alumni, grandparents, friends, local businesses and foundations.
We invite you to participate in  #GivingTuesday Please visit our campaign website  to learn more about the campaign. We also invite you to join us to learn more about the campaign, at one of our A Proud Legacy. A Vision for the Future. informational sessions.
