The Romemu Board of Directors has called a  Special Community Meeting  on  Tuesday, January 21st at 6 PM sharp  to vote to approve the
re-financing of the Romemu Center building with a mortgage from Carver Community Bank. If you can't join us in person,  PLEASE VOTE BY PROXY  by clicking  HERE. While only Romemu members can vote , all are welcome to join the meeting and stay for the offerings available that night, including an opportunity to learn about how to directly help refugees in need. The Romemu Yeshiva provides intensive spiritual study and practice of Jewish pathways for self-transformation. This Way Up: Practices to Align Ourselves in a Topsy Turvy World

Join us for a full day of study, practice and prayer that will open your heart, soften your body, and expand your mind. We will begin at 9am with chanting and shaharit (morning prayers), then spend the morning in silent embodied practice. We will come together to study in the afternoon. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions about the upcoming summer Romemu Yeshiva program. Snacks will be provided throughout the day. Please bring your own dairy/vegetarian lunch.

H evra Kadisha

Seeking New Members for Romemu's  H evra Kaddisha

Hevra Kaddisha, meaning "holy society," performs the mitzvah of Shmira for our members and their loved ones who have died. Hevra Kaddisha volunteers sit with/near the deceased, often reading psalms, chanting or meditating until the time of burial. They also perform the sacred ritual of Tahara, the washing and purification of the body honoring the holy sanctuary it was for the soul in life.
