You Only Get One Vote. Make Sure It Counts.

As we reflect on the meaning of the Fourth of July, Gene Jones, President of Florida Veterans for Common Sense, reminds us what true patriotism looks like.

Please read Gene's thoughtful commentary on America's first 250 years as he shares the challenges America has faced, our successes when we are unified, and the current attacks on democracy. Gene concludes, "On this 250-year anniversary, we have confidence that ‘We the People’ will rededicate ourselves to our democratic values and freedoms. We can overcome today’s challenges. We will defeat oligarchs or would-be tyrants."

Standing for these principles is something worth celebrating. Together, we turn these ideals into action, ensuring our democracy remains strong for generations to come.

Silence is not an option. This is the time to stay informed, speak up, and stand together because hope is not passive; it is something we build.

Hope in action starts with you.
