Research Lunch and Learn: Maximizing Town Highway Aid - Mileage Matters

Join us March 9 at 12pm EST for the next VT Agency of Transportation (VT AOT) Research Lunch and Learn. This month will explore Vermont town highway mileage, highway classification, and how mileage goes from a municipality and into the formula for state aid for town highways. Are all class 1, 2, & 3 town highways accounted for and included on the town highway map? Could a town be leaving state aid on the table if a town highway isn’t included on the mileage certificates? This presentation will get into the mechanics of town highway classification, the mileage certificate process, the production of the town highway maps, what resources there are for municipalities, and a look behind the scenes of the VT AOT Mapping Unit. If you are interested in town highways, mileage, and mapping, this is a presentation for you.

Join at noon EST on March 9.

We plan a monthly series of webinars that will rotate between featuring projects the VT AOT Research Program funds, other states' research and innovation projects, and webinars like this one featuring innovations and other efforts from other parts of the VT Agency of Transportation.
