She is a conservative leader that understands that the Republican Party of 2013 has the need to have a new connectivity and relationship model in place between Republican candidates and voters within California's urban communities.
Shirley understands that Los Angeles County political leaders (including statewide candidates) must pursue developmental or economically advantageous policies such as economic development initiatives and fiscally beneficial policies that will help the residents with long-term solutions that they can support.
As a proud Republican, Shirley can also relate to the similar issues and bonds with minority communities that many California Republicans are current shut out from. To her, Republicans believe that the solution to American's problems lies in the greatness of the American people. With its message of economic growth and opportunity, the GOP is the natural champion of blacks, minorities, women and ethnic Americans. Shirley Husar is a natural leader to help deliver that message to voters. Shirley has worked as a consultant on many political campaigns beginning in 1996 and including the following more recent campaigns:
2008-2010-Los Angeles County Officer: Meg Whitman for Governor of California;
2012- Candidate Jorge Robles for Congress;
2012- Candidate Jack Orswell for Congress;
2012- Candidate Donna Lowe for 41st Assembly District.
Shirley has held several offices and positions of leadership in The California Congress of Republicans, California Women's Leadership Association, Republican Youth Majority, and California Republican Women Federated.
Shirley writes a column for the Washington Times, has a video-blog channel as Urban Game Changer, has hosted TV programs for Hip-Hop Republicans.
