Join us as we CELEBRATE our 2024-2025 STAFF RETENTION Percentages!!!

KUDOS to our Human Resources Department led by Mr. Wesley Terrill, Director of Human Resources, and supported by Ms. Brittani Lane-White, Ms. Latoya Cheek, and Mrs. Bethany Gray for a job well done regarding our staff retention initiative!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to our building-level leaders for their hard work, dedication, and support regarding keeping the main thing...the main thing...our scholars!

We extend much appreciation to our staff members for their commitment to JCSD and our students! 

We've set the standard with the BEST RETENTION percentages in JCSD, all above 85%, as follows:

Hardeeville Elementary - 85% of Certified Teacher Contracts Returned on or before May 10th

Hardeeville Junior Senior High - 100% of Certified Teacher Contracts Returned on or before May 10th

Ridgeland Elementary - 95% of Certified Teacher Contracts Returned on or before May 10th

Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence - 100% of Certified Teacher Contracts Returned on or before May 10th

JC-CATE - 88% of Certified Teacher Contracts Returned on or before May 10th

District Office - 100% of Professional Contracts Returned on or before May 10th

JCSD was well Represented at the TCL Graduation

During the commencement ceremony on Friday, May 10, 2024, JCSD celebrated with seven (7) candidates for an Associate Degree and 10 candidates for various Academic Certificates, as follows:

Hardeeville Junior Senior High (1 Scholar)

Additionally, Dr. Anderson, JCSD Superintendent, delivered an inspiring 2024 Commencement Speech to the Graduating Class of the Technical College of the Lowcountry (TCL).

She reminded them of the following:

Firstly…**Never stop learning and forever be a student**.

Secondly….**Keep your faith dear and unashamed as it’s the lens to your dark place**.

Thirdly, **Never become stagnant in your craft**.

Fourthly…**Never succumb to adversity and opposition**.

Finally…**Reach beyond what you can imagine**.
