“Blessed Assurance”
Rev. Karin Kennedy Hejmanowski, preaching

Does Easter day already seem long ago? Or are you still basking in the glow of that glorious experience? Either way, the good news is that we are still in Eastertide! This week as we gather together online to worship, it is the third week of Easter.

Last week the staff was grateful for some time off. We are grateful for Stone Church for hosting us for worship last week. And we love creating worship and being with you on Sundays, so we look forward to being together again in our usual format, to connect with many of you via the Facebook chat, and to share our prayer requests with one another this Sunday.

I hope to see you in worship at 11 a.m.!

Join us immediately following worship this Sunday for

Questions for Reflection
  • When do you find it easiest to trust God?
  • When do you find it difficult to trust God?
  • When are you most aware of God’s presence?
Psalm 4
Answer me when I call, O God of my right! You gave me room when I was in distress. Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.

How long, you people, shall my honor suffer shame? How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies?

But know that the Lord has set apart the faithful for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.

When you are disturbed, do not sin; ponder it on your beds, and be silent.

Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord.

There are many who say, “O that we might see some good! Let the light of your face shine on us, O Lord!”

You have put gladness in my heart more than when their grain and wine abound.

I will both lie down and sleep in peace; for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety.
