Welcome to the June 2021 edition of The Voice! As the world starts to reopen, we are excited to be attending our first in-person trade show in over a year: We will be exhibiting at the ISC West conference in Las Vegas from July 19 – 21 (see invitation below).
Since our last issue, we have also continued our strong partnership with the tinyML organization and my colleague Moshe Haiut presented at the inaugural tinyML EMEA technical forum. DECT Today magazine published an article about our support of the important LC3plus codec and Hidden Wires magazine wrote about how smart home technologies like ULE can help fight global warming. Our Demo of the Month this time is something we will also be showing at ISC West: Low power sound event detection running on our SmartVoice devices at the edge without the need for high-latency cloud processing. Finally, submissions for the DECT Award 2021 are now open: this is a great chance for your company to get some industry recognition. Register here.
If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at claus.stetter@dspg.com.

Demo of the month – SED
Watch a demo of our sound event detection (SED) algorithms for smoke (T3) and carbon monoxide (T4) alarms, as well as glass breakage, all running at the edge on our SmartVoice SoC. Another example of the intelligent sensing capabilities of DSP Group’s devices. We even execute the machine learning for you and provide full algorithms for the fastest time to deployment.See the full demo here...
