Bloom Where You Are Planted: A photo exhibit of original images by “Nora from Moodus”

Nora is a Connecticut native and descendant of several families in East Haddam. She lives on the road established by her great great great grandfather Roswell Davison, who was invited to Moodus and bloomed where he was planted. Roswell married Prudence Wright and settled in Leesville. Based on records Edith Davison saved, we know that he served as Judge Probate, served on the school board, was a church leader, and provided employment through several mills he co-owned and managed in Moodus.

You don’t have to travel far to find beauty in East Haddam. Nora’s photography is on display for discovery, inspiration, and to entertain the idea that you can be blessed when you embrace and bloom right where you are.

Nora is retired from a lifetime of government service including a few years on active duty in the U.S. Army Finance Corps.
