Did you know that the Near Northwest Area Plan steering committee meets monthly? Did you know that you can join those meetings?
The steering committee is a group of residents, local business owners and representatives of neighborhood groups and community organizations from every neighborhood in the planning area. Their role is to help guide the planning process, support public engagement and help create consensus at key points in the process. Meetings are open to the public, and all community members interested in staying up-to-date on the planning process are invited to attend and observe.
Join the meeting this Tuesday!
The committee, which meets every fourth Tuesday of the month, will be coming together this week to begin reviewing each topic that will be covered in the draft plan when it's posted for public review later this year. To start, the group will be discussing mobility recommendations, which will address safety improvements along neighborhood streets and intersections, new bikeways, future pedestrian-bike connections across major barriers and more!
Visit the plan website to see the recommendations that members of the public review during the most recent phase of community engagement.
