College of Business Administration to host 10th Annual Community Breakfast
The Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Business Administration will host their 10th Annual Community Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, March 5, in the ballrooms of the Memorial Student Union Building. The event is co-hosted by the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by IBC Bank. Tickets are $10 per person or $80 for a table of eight. Online registration is required by Thursday, Feb. 27, and no tickets will be available at the door.

This year’s speaker is Jennifer Kushell, CEO and founder of Young & Successful Media and YSN.com. Her presentation will be Attract, Recruit and Retain the Next Generation of Talent. Technological innovation continues to disrupt industries on a massive scale with no signs of slowing down, join the community to learn why it is increasingly important to change the way we attract and retain the next generation of talent.

Business Students open second location for 2019 Income Tax Preparation
Students from the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will again offer free income tax preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA provides free basic income tax preparation for taxpayers with incomes below $56,000.

This year volunteers will be at two different locations. Beginning Monday, Feb. 3, and continuing every Monday and Tuesday through April 14, taxpayers may visit room 107 of the College of Business Administration building from 4 to 8 p.m. Free parking is available in the lot north of the building.

The second location is at the Texas Community Federal Credit Union, 605 E. Caesar Ave. in Kingsville. Volunteers will be at the credit union from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays beginning Jan. 30.

Taxpayers may drop off their returns. Citizens should bring their tax information, photo identification and Social Security card.

Business dean elected to international board
Dr. Delcoure
Dr. Natalya Delcoure, dean of the College of Business Administration has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). She will begin a three-year term July 1, 2020 and continue through June 30, 2023.

For the next three years, Delcoure will be an official representative of an organization from the Americas. “It is an honor to serve on the AACSB Board of Directors and be a part of such a global community of leadership,” she said. “My appointment allows the college to remain actively engaged in knowledge-sharing and best practices that accelerate innovation and societal impact.”

Delcoure was previously elected to the position representing a non-accredited institution from the United States when the university was in the process of gaining accreditation from the AACSB. That position’s term ends June 30, 2020.

“This is an exciting time to serve on the AACSB International Board of Directors as the organization has many compelling initiatives underway and many more to come as we continue to move forward with an aggressive Strategic Change Agenda,” said Tom R. Robinson, president and chief executive officer.
