OhioMeansJobs and JobsOhio

One topic of conversation the February 5, 2026, Clinton County Business Advisory Council + Workforce Collaborative meeting was a comparison of the work of OhioMeansJobs and JobsOhio, two entities that play a direct role in workforce development, although at different levels. While OhioMeansJobs is career-focused (what work does an individual do), JobsOhio is industry-focused (what does a company produce). Download the document below for more information.

“Even as someone who considers myself well-versed in Ohio’s workforce agencies and resources, I was reminded at the Clinton County Business Advisory meeting that there is always more to learn. The side-by-side handout created by members of the Workforce Collaborative—clearly outlining the distinct purpose, audience, and attributes of Ohio Means Jobs and JobsOhio—was one of the most helpful and concise comparisons I’ve seen. We often assume our partners and end users understand what distinguishes one service from another, but that isn’t always the case.” - Dr. Nicole Roades, Southern State Community College
