Inaugural West County Youth Summit on June 4!
West County is a relatively young community. Approximately one-quarter of Richmond residents are age 18 or younger. Our youth are our strength and future.

nullIn recent years, we've seen a groundswell of youth energy and civic participation, led by institutions like the RYSE Youth Center and the Richmond Youth Council, among many others.

This year's inaugural West County Youth Summit should be a great event for young people, parents and all those interested in supporting our youth.

This free event on June 4 will provide the opportunity to learn about the Community Service Learning Requirement, the Richmond Promise Scholarship program, financial management, youth homelessness, and health and wellness. There will also be  resource tables for youth activities, job training, mentorships, college enrollment and more.

Lunch will be provided.

Our communities become stronger when we recognize the importance of our youth's needs and we respect and support their voices in our civic life.
