School Supplies Needed for
Food Pantry
Please help us provide basic school supplies for our food pantry families. Bring new pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons, markers, etc. to church and place in the bin in the Narthex between July 24th and August 21st. We need to supply about 250 children, so please ask your friends and neighbors to help. Contact Erin O’Brien for more information.
Prayers for our Youth

We ask that you please offer up your prayers for our youth as they embark on their service trip with Bethlehem Lutheran to Navajoland.

Cookies for Kairos
Drop-off Soon!
Kairos ministers to thousands of incarcerated men at the R. J. Donovan Correctional Facility, and will be hosting their annual “Weekend” program soon. We can support them with our prayers and home-baked cookies. Follow the below instructions, then drop-off your cookies with Gigi Miller during the following times: Saturdays, 8/6 & 13, 8:30-11:30am or Sundays, 8/7 & 14, 8:45-11:45am. Please contact Gigi with any questions
·       Package cookies in clear, ziploc bags (only 1 dozen per bag)
·       No tinfoil or wire twist ties (metal will delay security screening)

The Deep Dive Book group will begin again, this time studying Womanist Midrash: A Reintroduction to the Women of the Torah and the Throne by Wilda Gafney. This is an in-depth and creative exploration of the well- and lesser-known women of the Hebrew Scriptures. Don’t let the title or subject fool you; weather you are a woman or not, the text is very engaging.

This summer as you enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, we challenge you to send in photos of you or your kids with unusual animals, reptiles, birds, or insects. You’ll find out why this fall!
Where has the Choir gone?
You may have noticed the lack of a choir at 10 am worship. No, the band hasn't broken up, but the Choir will be on a Summer hiatus until September 11. If you have any interest in joining the choir when they resume, please contact Virginia for more information.

Food Pantry - Drivers Needed
St. Andrew's Food Pantry needs a few volunteers that would be able to pick up food donations at the Encinitas Vons. If you have availability on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday morning between 10 and 11 AND you have a truck or SUV, please contact Annie Heyligers for more information.
