Networking for the Prevention Professional: Creating and Sustaining School-Based Sector Partnerships
Tuesday, August 27 • 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. PT
Engaging youth in prevention is key to emphasizing protective factors and minimizing the impact of risk factors later in life. Schools play a huge part in shaping the lives of youth and are important partners in prevention work. Not only can we easily gain an audience with youth in schools, but we can extend that reach to families of students, and other community members.
As part of our Networking for the Prevention Professional series, this interactive Community of Practice will outline methods to initiate and sustain partnerships with elementary, middle, and high schools. Come join us to speak with prevention professional peers about how to gain an understanding of key roles in school systems and common barriers to implementing prevention in school settings.
