Join us for BHS Alumni Night on July 3! | |
Calling all Barrington High School Alumni! The BHS Alumni Association is bringing back the popular "Alumni Night" this Fourth of July weekend at the Pat McKillen concert on Monday, July 3. All alumni are invited to purchase a car or walk-in ticket, set up their own tailgates, and visit the Alumni area while enjoying the musical talents of fellow alumnus Pat McKillen (BHS '06). BHS Homecoming is Sept. 23, 2023 | |
Homecoming 2023 is just around the corner – this year’s date is Saturday, September 23, 2023. To help with the planning of reunion weekend, we have created this Reunion Guide. It includes helpful steps to plan, local venues that work for evening reunion parties, the entire weekend schedule, and contact info for help. We hope you can join us at the following events:
Friday, Sept. 22

Welcome Night: Friday evening acts as a welcome night for all alumni who come in for the whole weekend. While there is not typically anything 'official' on Friday, the local venues listed in the Reunion Guide are typically buzzing with alumni activity!
Saturday, Sept. 23

Pancake Breakfast: Annual “Andy Anderson Pancake Breakfast” in the BHS Cafeteria goes from 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Homecoming Parade: The BHS Homecoming Parade leaves from the Metra station at around 10:15 AM and marches down Main Street to BHS

Tailgate: Join us for the BHSAA Tailgate Party in the Chessie’s parking lot. There will be good food, drink & music from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Football Game: The Broncos take on another local high school football team at Barrington Community Stadium starting at 1:00 PM

Reunion Night: Saturday evening is when each class celebrates their reunion individually. Enjoy!

Mary Walbaum Williams (BHS ’55) and Dick Schwemm (BHS ’55) were married in December 2022 in Barrington.

Nirali Chauhan (BHS '12) appeared on the latest season of The Great American Baking Show, which debuted on the Roku Channel in May.

Twin sisters Ashley Quigley (BHS '14) and Courtney McGovern (BHS '14) appeared on ABC 7 Chicago to share the work they do with their non-profit, Hope's In.

Laura Heath, Teacher at Arnett C. Lines Elementary, retires after 38 years in the district

Jill Henning, Teacher at Hough Street Elementary, retires after 31 years in the district.

Randy Karon (BHS '80), Band Director at BHS, retires after 31 years in the district

Donald Perkins, Special Education Teacher at Roslyn Road Elementary, retires after 30 years in the district.

D220 to celebrate 50th Anniversary | |
Throughout the 2023-24 school year, Barrington 220 will celebrate its 50th anniversary. In 1973 the district officially became a pre-K thru 12 unit school district. The district is currently looking for Barrington area businesses that would like to join in celebrating this important milestone. If you know of a local business that is interested in participating, please have them fill out this form.
