Interview on WHUP Radio

Compass Center's Director of Court Advocacy and Community Response, Madison, was recently interviewed on the WHUP radio show "La Tertulia con Solangel".   Madison appeared on the Spanish-language program to talk about work being done at Compass Center to support Latinx clients. She shared information about our resources, including support groups, the 24-hour crisis hotline, and our court advocacy work. Click on the link above to hear the interview at around the 16:45-minute mark.
What We Do for Love

The Great American Read is an eight-part series that explores and celebrates the power of reading, told through the prism of America's 100 best-loved novels. The Chapel Hill Public Library is hosting a series of panel discussions based on five themes.

The first panel discussion is titled "What We Do for Love" on Thursday, June 21, 6:30-8 p.m. It features our own Susan Friedman, Director of Domestic Violence Services. We hope to see you there!
July Fundraisers
Back by popular demand, Compass Center will host another Drag Queen Bingo! On Saturday, July  21, friend of Compass Center,  Vivica C. Coxx, will once more entertain the crowd while raising funds for Compass Center's services. Come ready to play!

On Sunday, July 29, from 4-5 p.m., the Summer Community Chorus will be performing and accepting donations for Compass Center.  This free concert will feature music entirely by women, including modern, medieval, and Renaissance pieces. Come out to support this dynamic group and donate to Compass Center!

North Carolina artist Stephanie Burke is donating 50% of sales from her Etsy shop to Compass Center. Check out her original pieces at Â Art and Soul Originals.
