We’ve been named one of America’s Best Towns to Visit in 2025 by CNN! The annual list spotlights American destinations that deserve travelers’ attention. Read more about the top 10 towns here: www.cnn.com/travel/2025-america-best-towns-to-visit
CNN Travel’s representatives, with whom the Visit Ithaca team have been working with closely over the last couple of months, covered a lot of ground and we are grateful to the members who engaged with them while they visited earlier in June. We are also glad they were able to highlight so many of the places that make Tompkins County a unique and wonderful place to visit.

Sustainable Finger Lakes (SFLX)
SFLX has supports local action by weaving together social equity, economic vitality, and environmental stewardship. Our longest-running initiative, launched in 2008, the Neighborhood Mini-Grant Program, has awarded 241 grants totaling $98,000 to grassroots sustainability projects in Tompkins County. This summer we're searching for sponsors to expand this successful program into Schuyler, Seneca, Yates, Chemung, and Tioga Counties. SFLX also manages the Finger Lakes Climate Fund, a local carbon offset program that funds clean energy upgrades for low-income households in 14 counties across the region. To grow this work, we’re inviting local businesses to join Finger Lakes Enterprises for Climate Action (FLECA) to help fund these efforts. For more information or to get involved, contact Gay Nicholson at gay@sustainablefingerlakes.org
