Education Appreciation
The Enid Chamber welcomed back area educators for the upcoming school year. We provided breakfast for the Enid Public School New Teacher Orientation, donuts for Autry Technology Center staff, and hosted a reception for the Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Northern Oklahoma College Faculty and Staff on the NWOSU Enid Campus.

Great News For Enid
The Census Bureau overall population numbers show Enid and Garfield County have increased in population. Enid has officially broken 50,000 and stands at 51,308 in population.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at St. Mary's
The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the St. Mary's Cancer Center was held August 17th. It was the one-year anniversary of the cancer center's move to its off-site location on the fifth floor of the Parkview Medical Center, 330 South Fifth Street.
Ground Breaking for Dobson Fiber
Dobson Fiber broke ground August 5th with an announcement of a multi million dollar expansion of its fiber internet offering to the residents of Enid.
Cost of Living Index
The Cost of Living Index measures relative price levels for consumer goods and services in participating areas. The average for all participating places, both metropolitan and non-metropolitan, equals 100, and each participant's index is read as a percentage of the average for all places. The composite index is based on six components - housing, utilities, grocery items, transportation, health care and miscellaneous goods and services.
