Lovely music, taste-tempting finger food, a glass of wine, a stroll through enchanting perennial gardens . . .
What could be more enticing?
So make your plans now for Cows & Classics, the Stratford Symphony Orchestra's annual summer music celebration and fundraiser on Sunday, June 23, at the David and Annamarie Murray farm west of Stratford.
Musical performances by . . .
-- the Full House Brass Quintet (SSO musicians)
-- Natalie Ropp, flute
-- Josie Nicholson, voice, winner of the Stratford Star competition
-- Chloe Weir, voice, winner of Kiwanis competition and national musical     theatre gold medalist (2017)
-- Sydney Harvey, voice
-- Maggie and David Murray, piano duet
Plus, by popular demand, Geisha, the Murrays' farm dog, will yowl artfully to host David Murray's piano accompaniment.
The gate opens at 1:30 and the music starts around 2:00. Before and after the music, guests can stroll through the Murrays' magnificent gardens and farm buildings, snack on a variety of complimentary hors d'oeuvres, and purchase wine or beer.
Surprise gift bags containing items donated by Stratford-area merchants will be available at $20 each. In all cases, the value of the bag's contents will exceed $20.
Tickets ($20) are available at the event, as well as on the SSO website  and at Blowes Stationery and Fanfare Books in Stratford.
NOTE: Rain or shine, the show goes on in the spacious Murray hay storage hoop structure. (Please bring a chair for each member of your party.)
To reach the Murray farm  from Stratford, drive west on Highway 8 toward Mitchell. Turn left on Road 155 and proceed to 3844.
