Good evening, San Gabriel

We have a busy summer ahead, including a comic book block party tomorrow in the San Gabriel Village, a neighborhood party in celebration of crime prevention in the Mission District next week and several more events as part of our Summer in San Gabriel series.

We're also happy to announce the date of this year's State of the City address with Mayor Jason Pu. Please join Mayor Pu on September 24 at the Mission Playhouse to learn more about San Gabriel's latest strategic plan and achievements. To attend, please confirm your attendance by September 17 by emailing Nancy Ramos at nramos@SGCH.org or via telephone at 626.308.2803, option two. Please note that space is limited.

Now, here is what's making news for July 31, 2019:

Summer programs come to an end August 2
Another amazing summer has come and gone for our youth summer programs. San Gabriel youth had an opportunity to spend a fun filled summer at Smith Park, Marshall Park, Roosevelt Elementary and Mckinley Elementary. Our programs at these schools will be closing on Friday, August 2. Summer Day Camp at Coolidge Elementary will continue until Friday, August 16.

Throughout the summer, children have been able to enjoy fun and exciting activities that have contributed to many lasting memories and friendships. Thank you to all of the recreation staff, the many participants, San Gabriel Unified School District and our program partners that made this another successful summer!
