This Sunday

This is Palm Sunday. Peter Henry will be preaching a sermon based on Luke's account of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem the week before his crucifixion.

The music is provided by David Brinson, Sarah Allred, the 9:45 Music Team, the Geneva and Chancel choirs, along with the Panbyterians.

The service is in person at 8:45 in Lingle Chapel and at 9:45 and 11:00 in the Sanctuary, as well as live-streamed to Facebook and YouTube. It is also broadcast live on WDAV (89.9 or WDAV.org). Free childcare is provided for all services.

We will also collect the One Great Hour of Sharing offering at all 3 services. Join with Presbyterians worldwide in sharing God's love with our neighbors-in-need around the world. You can also give online at pcusa.org/give-oghs or text

Parents, your child might have picked up a fish money bank in Sunday School at the beginning of Lent. There is still time to encourage your child to give some money (or even earn some to give). If the fish never showed up at your house, don't let that stop you! Giving is something we learn by doing. Have a dinner conversation about sharing. One Great Hour of Sharing is an opportunity to give to people who are hungry or who have experienced natural disasters. I hope you'll consider this educational moment at home. Bring fish (or an envelope of money labeled for OGHS) to worship on Palm Sunday or Easter Sunday.

Burris Space Dedication

This Sunday, April 13th, following 11:00 worship, we will formally dedicate the Lynn and Marjorie Burris Gathering Space. Please plan to join us for this wonderful occasion.

Final Weekend to Buy Butter Braids!

Butter Braids are Coming!

Our high school students are heading to Farmington, Maine on a mission trip in June and you can help support them through your appetite. They will be taking orders for Butter Braids, a delicious pastry stuffed with a variety of fillings, in person on Sundays through April 13. Can't wait or won't be at church in the next two weeks? Order online by clicking here. You can also contact the church office to place your order. Thank you, in advance, for supporting their summer trip. Butter Braids will be delivered on May 7, just in time for Mother's Day!

Calling all SAGES (Senior adult fellowship group)

Join us for a special event as we discuss “The Women” by Kristin Hannah, and hear firsthand from Cathie Solomonson, a Vietnam War nurse, about her experiences. Reading the book first will give you some good insights.

Cost: $10 (includes lunch & speaker)

We also invite members and Sages to bring any Vietnam War memorabilia or share personal stories during our discussion time. This is a unique opportunity to reflect on history, honor those who served, and engage in meaningful conversation. RSVP by noon on Monday, April 21 by clicking here – Space is limited! You may only bring one guest. Hope you can join us!

We would also like to recognize and honor any Vietnam veterans connected to our congregation. If you or a loved one served during the Vietnam era—whether or not you’re able to attend our event—we would be grateful to know your name so that we can include you in our tribute!

Please reach out to Christy Kramer at csknamaste@gmail.com. Thank you - and thank you for your service!

Greg Snyder, Doug Ottati and Peter Henry are leading a three week series on Christian Nationalism from a

Reformed/Presbyterian perspective.

Speaking of Angels and Sparrows, a note from a recent year-end email from that partner. "Together, we provided 247,456 meals to more than 1,000 households and equipped 155 individuals with 12,710 hours of education, tutoring, mentoring, and college and career readiness last year." You were part of that DCPC. Thank you for your support of our mission partners.
