National Public Lands Day is a celebration of the connection between people and green space in their community, inspiring environmental stewardship, and encouraging the use of open space for education, recreation and health benefits.


Fee Free Day at the Monument

Enjoy free entrance to monument for hiking and exploring. Discover a new trail or enjoy a scenic drive!

8am-8:45am - Yoga in the park

Welcome the day a slow flow yoga class at Devil's Kitchen picnic area. Bring your own mat and blanket.

Calling all mountain bike enthusiasts in the Western Slope


Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) invites you to celebrate National Public Lands Day by breaking ground on a new multi-use trail at the North Fruita Desert Recreation Area on

September 24th-25th

You are welcome to sign up for just one or both days. Campsites will be provided along with meals from our volunteer Crew Chefs. There are also plenty of mountain biking trails nearby for those looking to ride after the workday!
