Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA) is hosting a Homebuyer Workshop for the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program on September 4, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Weed Community Gym, Fitness & Event Center (Grand Room) in Weed, California.
"The ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program is crucial for families in our county impacted by wildfires,” said Siskiyou County Supervisor Michael Kobseff. “It provides the support needed to purchase new homes, helping them rebuild their lives. Homeownership also strengthens local businesses, boosts property values, and encourages community resilience during recovery.”

About the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program
The ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program provides financial assistance up to $350,000 per household, designed to help qualifying individuals and families purchase a home outside of High or Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones of California.

- Forgiveness of financial assistance after five years.
- Accessibility for applicants with varying credit histories.
The ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program is provided by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, funded by a HUD Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery grant and managed by GSFA.
